Usage
Can I use ByteLink for BT/PT uploads or downloads?
No. We cannot determine whether content transferred using BitTorrent violates its End User License Agreement (EULA) or the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), so BitTorrent is strictly prohibited on the ByteLink network.
Some applications and game launchers also use BitTorrent to accelerate downloads. Disconnect from ByteLink before using software that may use BitTorrent to avoid having your activity flagged by mistake.
BitTorrent also consumes substantial server resources, which violates our fair use principles.
Can I use ByteLink for games?
Yes. You may use your ByteLink subscription for gaming, but our service is not optimized for games, so you may not get the best experience. During peak hours, you may encounter high latency, jitter, or packet loss. These issues generally do not affect web browsing, streaming, or downloads, but they can significantly affect games that require real-time responses.
Can I use a subscription in automation programs?
No. Using your subscription for any automated program, including web crawlers, bots, artificial intelligence, or automated trading, is prohibited because it violates our fair use principles.
ByteLink subscriptions are for human use only.
Can I visit illegal websites or express my political views online?
When using your ByteLink subscription to access websites or other resources, you must comply with the laws and regulations of the country or region where the access point is located. You may not use ByteLink to access websites or resources that promote political extremism, cults, or terrorism, contain child sexual abuse material, or contain other material that is criminalized in most countries.
